Margaret River Surf School is entering a team in the 2018 SURFAID CUP to raise money to support the amazing work of SURFAID (a non-profit humanitarian organization).
WHY SUPPORT SURFAID
SurfAid has dramatically reduced maternal and child death near places we all love to visit and surf. We want to give back to the beautiful Indonesian people and places that give so much to us.
SurfAid works with Indonesian communities & local government to provide clean water facilities & sanitation practices through practical support, education & health promotion.
They provide materials that are not readily available and also use locally sourced materials to ensure communities are involved and have a sense of ownership and knowledge of the facilities for sustainability.
They create and train/educate local groups of community health volunteers who work with the local health department to deliver health messages on nutrition, hygiene and sanitation to their neighbours, focusing on at-risk households.
SurfAids ultimate goal is behaviour change to have an immediate impact on health status, and for generations to come.
OUR TEAM
The 2018 Perth SurfAid Cup is a tag-team competition open to any long or short boarders who raise money in order to compete. Teams are made up with 4 amateurs and one pro or local legend!
This year we have decided our team will consist of 3 of our top High Performance Surf Groms along with owner & High Performance Coach Jarrad Davies. What better way to spread the word and knowledge of this great cause than to educate our own future generations on its importance!!

The team who raises the most money gets first pick from an impressive line-up of pros and local legends to be the 5th member of their team in the surf competition.
